Narrative Strategy

Adding context, perspective and dimension to your message through story.

About

Narrative strategy means using story effectively to drive your message home.

The approach is two-fold:

  • Matching story ideas to your message
  • Building the story so it carries your message most effectively

Stories can be told orally as part of a speech or presentation, or as a stand-alone tale. They can be written as part of your print or web presence or they can be included within an oral presentation. Either way they give your message depth, context and meaning.

Wherever you plan to use story it needs to be selected and constructed strategically to carry your precise message.

Story is a series of linked events told from a certain point of view.  It gives context to a message and helps the listener or reader to understand its meaning in greater depth. It reveals the meaning and importance of your message, gives colour and dimension to information and  enhances credibility and trust.
